hard time surfing the Net

yup, it's true...had a hard time to go online nowadays...


it's because of my DAMN modem or is it the line that's having problem...


anyway, it's been almost a week since i had this problem...


couldn't surf the Net makes me SUFFER!!!! well, a little....Lol

i keep bugging my two friends that i wanna go online and even asked whether i could borrow their modem...xD

plus, i text them a lot to keep me entertained or ask them to keep me entertained.. =P

i feel as if my soul just left my body...*touch wood touch wood*

*groans*....see, this is what happen when i didn't get to go online...lost track of everything...!!!

however, on the other hand, its also good not to go online...

it keep me away from being so addicted to surfing the Net... hehe =]

plus, the only reason i wanna go online is because of Twitter!!!!

Valentine's Day Info

only left three more days and then it's Valentine's Day!!!!

however, there are some things you should know about Valentine...

i got this information from my ex-Biology tuition teacher...she's not just a teacher, she's also like a friend to me...and i really respect her... :)

from what she said, according to a Feng Shui master, there are 5 things you should never give for your valentine on Valentine's Day...

she even printed out on a piece of paper and handed all out to us during her tuition class...

1. Never Give Sharp Objects
~give sharp objects as a gift will literally sever the friendship/relationship.

2. Never Give RED ROSES
~never send red and white roses to a loved one, especially the one who is in hospital...there are so inauspicious that in hospitals all over UK, considered to be a DEATH WISH.

long stemmed red roses with sharp thorns are TERRIBLE GIFTS.
the longer the stem and the sharper the thorns...the MORE the relationship will suffer.

if you send your lover a bouquet of red roses, it will be the beginning of the END of the relationship..

give CREAM or PINK roses..Feng Shui-wise, YELLOW roses enhance love better...

3. Never Give Timepieces
~in some Chinese language, to give a clock or "soong joong" sounds like the Chinese term for attending funeral..

4. Never Give Shoes
~in Cantonese, the word for shoes, "hai", sounds like a sigh..

this is very inauspicious as it suggests much unhappiness..

a gift of shoes to your friend means sending bad luck his/her way.

5. Never Give Handkerchiefs
~a handkerchief is used to wipe away sweat and tears, which suggest a lot of sadness and frustration.

giving handkerchiefs as gifts suggest that you anticipate him/her to be doing much crying in the future..

Chinese New Year 2011 #3

continuation from part two where i left off...hehe

next, they serve vegetarian dish...

first of all, when i see celery, i'll be happy cause i like celery...

however, when i chew on the celery...(>_<) *yuck!!!! it got soft, and it has this sweet sort of taste... x( not fresh anymore... and the green peas/beans, its so bitter!!!! and yet the lotus roots and the nuts are good... :)

tell you what, when i see those bones are still red, i knew that, that chicken is not 100% cooked...

but still somehow i ate it... :3

Chinese sausage fried rice....the last dish...after this is the dessert..

i don't like and i don't eat Chinese sausage just because of its smell...so i just scoop up the rice from the side...

as i eat the rice..........SO SALTY!!!!!!!!!!!! (>_<) i guess the restaurant have people sponsor them salt, and for them, salt is free of charge.... the rice is so salty, my cousin sis bet that the dessert must be really sweet.... we're almost full, the rest of the relatives from the other two tables, bring their unfinished dish (more like leftovers) to our table!!!!! (WHAT??? HEY, WE'RE ALSO FULL ALREADY!!!!)

my cous sis is right!!!! IT'S SUPER SWEET!!!!! Dx

they just pour the a can of preserved coconut and a can of "cat's eye" (i don't know what to call it), into the bowl, and just add ice in it...no water!!!! that's how the dessert is so sweet!!!!

certainly the last dishes taste bad...the vegetables (peas/beans) are so bitter, rice is so salty, and dessert is so sweet...and we're just lacked of dishes that are so sour and spicy...Lol~

wow...the restaurant even give us a gift...but i give it up for my smaller nephews and nieces... :)


well, that's it for this dinner...after we went back to my another uncle's house in Ipoh...

as for the coming days, we didn't do much thing...mostly we just stay at home and watch tv....

i can't even go shopping... :'( no one can bring me go... :[

i spend the next two boring days at my uncle house, watch Chinese movie and play computer games and just wait for lunch and dinner to come...just eat eat and eat...




and then we went back to our hometown, Penang on the 5th day of CNY...

i gotta say this year's CNY doesn't have much activities at all compared to last year..

last year, we did go to Cameron Highlands, visit my aunt's family...which is quite fun...

okay, gotta end my post here...i got nothing more to post...

Chinese New Year 2011 #2

part two's here...

actually i was just gonna blog what i did on the second day of CNY...and also on the third and fourth day....i guess i'll just blog everything on the second part!!!! *breathing heavily...well, if you haven't seen the first part click here

i don't know how to start this but all i gotta say is that i have a great and wonderful time on the second day of CNY...

we went to visit our relatives on my father's side, which i'm more compatible with them... :P

of course they live in a real village, and also it's so damn hot there!! Dx

instead of a village house, on the inside, it was quite high-tech...(not that high) ;)

my cousins brought along their laptops and a P1 Wimax modem with them..!!! :O

so as i went in the house, there are 3 laptops going online.... (O_O)

and of course i did take the advantage to go online... xD

me and my family went in the afternoon and stayed there until evening for dinner...my cousin brother had reserved 3 round tables in a restaurant...

actually most dinners i had is at a round table!! my second sis even said she's bored with it...

*sigh...what to do?? its a Chinese custom to sit together at a round table and have meals with family...but still, this year is a little too much... :/

anyway, we went to the restaurant at almost 6 p.m...

despite i thought it will be a big restaurant but actually, as i went inside, the place is quite small...cause it's located at a small town...

usually these kind of restaurants should be quite cold inside but....inside this restaurant is not even cold...more like in a room temperature...

well, i don't care much about that...after all, all the rest of the family gone a little bit crazy...

fun, but crazy, especially my cousin brother and his family..(note that my cousin brother is about 30-40 years old, he his first son, also my nephew, is the same age as me... o.O )

at first we're just taking a family photo, but then everyone just gone crazy snapping photos here and there...(-_-)"

yet i still sat quietly at my place and look at them doing their thing, so as my parents, brother, sister, and also my another cousin bro and sis, and my nephew...hehe

while i'm at it, i did snap something...which i usually do when i'm at a fabulous dinner..(^_^)

this is the menu...i don't know how to read Chinese...(>_<) cause when i started primary/elementary school, my parents send me to a Convent school, which also a mix-school with students of different races... i can't read Chinese except very simple words, but i can still speak Mandarin well... ;)

Chinese tea...the usual drink...you can actually ask for other drinks if you want but i'll just stick with tea.. :)

they also serve red wine!! my cousin bro poured a little bit for my sis..i thought of wanted to drink a little but i don't think i'm ready for a drink of red wine yet..although i'm 18 already..

all the long wait, the food is finally served...but instead of serving an appetizer first, they serve this!!! shark-fin soup...the shark-fin soup usually served as the second dish...ah well, who cares about it.. xD

i don't know what to call this but i'm definitely sure they should have serve this first...four different dishes served together in a plate, love the rose decoration...

prawns!!!!!! salad-prawns and......prawns cooked with oyster and soy sauce??? not really sure but that's what my mum told me... xP and perhaps it taste a little bit too salty...

everytime whenever a dish just served, my sis and i have to quickly take the picture... xD

Chinese New Year 2011 #1

went back to my parents hometown during CNY...

i gotta say this, i'm a little bit bored..there's nothing much to do there...except accepting ang paus..xD and watch tv...

i did play the computer games from my cousin brother's computer...

i could hardly online cause my uncle already took out the wi-fi in his house..

i can only online through the computer...and the connection is slow... (>_<) as i was saying, there's really nothing much to do..all i do whole day is watch tv, playing computer games and eat eat eat...(hope i gain some weight...i'm so thin) we start our journey quite late on the first day of CNY... by the time we reach our uncle's house in Ipoh, it's already at 3 or 4 p.m. both my aunt and uncle are busy preparing for dinner...(busy busy busy) we didn't go out for dinner on the first day...just stay at home... anyway, we also did another Yee Sang here...

actually, i should call it vegetarian Yee Sang...usually Yee Sang should have fish in it, hence its name "yee" or "yu"..don't know which one is it..

somehow this dish is quite popular but i don't know what's called...even in Chinese...(>_<) *embarrassed..my uncle cooked it with broccolis, scallops, abalone, and there's also this ingredient that looks like hair.. according to Chinese custom, if you eat the "hair", you'll be rich...i don't know how to explain it...if you're a Chinese, you'll know.. :P i did like scallops...its delicious...Lol~

look at it....it almost makes drool...=p

did i also mention that my uncle cooks shark fin soup?? xD

the soup was delicious, but it needs a little bit more salt or soy sauce...still, its delicious!!

there're also other dishes and my mum also helped to cook some other dishes..but no pictures of it...to busy enjoying my first CNY dinner.. hehe

early morning....

today is the first day of CNY....

last night i slept at 3 something and i woke up 9 something in the morning...i only slept for about six hours...(definitely not enough sleep for me)

i better take some nap during the journey back to my parents hometown...





by the way, i just remembered...today is also one of my favorite band member's birthday!!!!

AKI-KUN HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

OMGOSH!!!! HE'S SO HOT...i can't bear to look at him more than one minute!!! (>o<) he's just so cool...xD

clock just passed midnight and it's Chinese New Year already!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!

i could fire crackers and fireworks everywhere near my house area...

and it continues until 2 a.m. in the morning... (O_O) although i slept at 3 in the morning.. xD

while all my neighbors light up and watching the crackers and fireworks, both my sisters and i were doing our nails...xD

she lives K.L, a very big city, and she bought a set of nail polish...

it may look like a normal nail polish but, for this four bottles, we have to like apply all of it on one fingernail...plus, it's very expensive..!! D:

it took us like more than an hour to finish painting all our fingernails...

this is how it turned out in the end...

oh la la~ it's beautiful isn't it? its like a leopard pattern..this style is called Shatters..cause the black coat shatters right after you apply it...

to make the nail look like one; (let me upload back the picture.. :P)

first, "clean" my nail using the the transparent polish..(the transparent bottle on the left)

next, paint my nails with the shiny green nail polish..the green nail polish was actually given as the sample, but i used it anyway..xD my sis also bring other colors..

then, when the green layer is completely dry, my sis help me to paint the black layer, and that's when the "magic" begins..

the black layer dry very quickly, and as it dries, it shatters and in the end it turned into the leopard-like pattern..

finally, my sis apply the last layer (the brown bottle) on my nail to make it look completely shiny...

quite a long process too...plus, to make our nail dry faster we blow it using the hair-dryer...

i can't stop looking and admiring my nails... xD

that's it...end of my blog...

the next few days i gonna have another great time with my family during CNY...

CNY Eve dinner

just had my CNY Eve dinner...*burp....ooppsss.. :P too full...

i don't know how to say this but every year, CNY Eve dinner is awesome...the Reunion Dinner is the best!!! :D

my eldest sis came back from K.L, brought many goodies and snacks for us, and later on we have a fabulous Reunion Dinner...

my mum didn't cook much for this dinner cause we order two extraordinarily dishes from Dragon-i Restaurant...

we order a Prosperity Abalone Treasure Pot & Abalone Thick Soup Set

yeah, this is just an illustration...when we go to the restaurant and bring back the dish, its like this..

yup...so much difference....anyway, the only thing i care about this dish is the abalone!!!! xD look at it!!!! x3

and the soup, well i didn't get the chance to get the picture...

also, we order a roasted goose...

yeeaaahhh....just another illustration...i forget to take the picture of that roasted goose.. (>.<) anyway, as for the dinner it's much more fabulous!!!!

Ta Da~ we also bought a salmon Yee Sang from Sushi King Restaurant...

just look at how they arrange the salmon...so pretty...like a flower..surrounded by Japanese scallops.... :O x)

my mum also cook/steam "Sek Pan" fish...(sorry, i don't know how to call it in English...very bad at names.. :P)

yes...this is the goose that we ordered...my mum already chopped it...

this is a kind of vegetable dish...i don't know what to call it... :P

mum also cooked prawns with slices of ginger and white wine!!!! or Chinese white wine..don't know which one is it... :P

it was super delicious but i only ate two...the prawn is so large that i can't bear to eat another one... Dx

this is the shark fin soup that we bought...just reheated it and poured into small bowls for each of our family... :)

my big sis moved the salmon Yee Sang to the "plastic cover"? haha..please don't mind me..i'm really bad at giving names and calling stuff..sis moved it so that we can mix and toss it easily..and we also added ourselves the purple cabbages.

and we also poured the sour sauce on top...ooohhhh it makes me eager to eat it... x]

and so all the food is here, bring out all the dishes!! :)

and this is the Prosperity dish that just reheated together with its soup...and now it's time to toss and mix the salmon Yee Sang...

ta da~ the final look of the Yee Sang...looks kind of "messy" but this is how it supposed to be.. :] also,it was DELICIOUS!!! YUMMY!!

this is my first time eating a full abalone...hope it taste good, however, had a hard time chewing it..the abalone is 101% cooked...it's hard to be chewed, but still i love it.. xD


okay, that's all..my CNY Eve dinner...had a great time cause the whole family is eating together..i'm so happy.. :D

i'm looking forward for another happy and precious time with my entire family during CNY...
