okay,here'goes~~
before the new year begins, i'm already on heading down to my parents hometown like very freaking early in the morning...my uncle told me to wake up by 5am but i woke up at 6am+ ( ̄▽ ̄)
the reason why i'm heading down so early is just to look for a traditional Chinese clothing... ( ´∀`)it's my uncle's idea about wearing a Chinese clothing for the first day of Chinese New Year..
i could not find it around my hometown area so have to travel far to look for it..
however, i couldn't find one but manage get a shirt where the neck part looks like Cheongsam, a traditional Chinese clothe for ladies..
well, as for CNY eve dinner, my uncle reserved two tables at a restaurant and did i heard wrong?? he told me that he ordered for each of us a abalone??!! (o.o) okaaaaaaay.......let's see if they really serve the abalone... ( ̄ー ̄)
the first dish they serve is,ah well,as always,it's the Yee Sang
unfortunately i forgot to take a picture of the Yee Sang before it got tossed... ( ̄▽ ̄)
so this is how it looks like after being tossed...anyway, i don't really eat the veges, just the snacks...the Yee Sang mostly consist of pickled vegetables and they are tossed with tamarind sauce..so the taste doesn't go well with my taste buds.. ^^;;
oh yeah, did i tell you that i start to drink wine?? like the real red wine... ( ̄ー ̄)
yes, this is the red wine,with lots and lots of ice!! and it's not your everyday "Ribena" drink~~ after taking a sip, its not that bad...i can taste the grape juice and also the bitter alcohol... (>o<)
of course not to forget,they'll always serve the Chinese tea..i always drink them whenever i'm in a Chinese restaurant..
here comes the second dish, shark fin soup...i can hardly find the shark fin..all i can see is the crab meat.. (=3=)
next, sea cucumber~~ i remember reading something about sea cucumbers, they absorb your cholesterol when you eat them..anyway, i don't eat sea cucumbers...(don't ask why)
oh yeah,didn't i mention earlier that my uncle ordered abalone?? well.............he actually did.... *points below*
*gahh one abalone for each of us...i had to say,its very nice and chewy~~~ (=^^=)
fish~~~~ i know it's a fish but don't know what kind of fish.... (´ε`)
this is a.......................................umm.........................................well,the dish has bean curd,scallop, and broccoli.. (don't know what's the name of this dish) (^^;;
okay next dish please.... (><)
...
...
stir-fried vegetables with ginkgo and MACADAMIA NUTS!!!! it suppose to be vegetable dish but somehow they cook it with dried shrimps...who cares?? i just love the macadamia nuts~~~ (^^)
large *more like medium sized ( ̄へ ̄)* prawns...i just have one prawn, and i had enough...couldn't eat another one...i almost have a full stomach already...
AND YET..............!!!!
*serves
THEY SERVE RICE AT THE END??!!!! _| ̄|○ just have a spoon of the rice and couldn't take it anymore...just by looking at the rice,i'm already full... (*´ο`*)=3
they serve dessert too,glutinous rice balls..go google it if you don't know...
i can't take a picture of it cause...............something happen..... =]
i guess that is all for CNY eve...go read the next post,its about what i do eat during CNY...
see you guys in the next post...(please wait patiently for it by the way~~) (^_^)
