CNY week #2

here comes part 2....here's part 1 just in case of you missed it...

as the clock strike 12, then its Chinese New Year already!!!!! Happy Chinese New Year!!!! Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!! This year is the Year of Dragon~~

"Wishing you strength and luck in the Year of the Dragon" 


during the first day of CNY,i went to my father's hometown in Batu Gajah, Perak, and as usual, it's so hot over there... (*´ο`*)=3 


what do i expect?? it's a village...of course it would be hot on a sunny day...but it didn't bother me at all cause i'm so happy to see my cousins again...i'm much more closer to my cousins from my father's side.. =]


we chat for a long time and my big sister *coughgamblecough* with my brother-in law.........in the end my sis wins...*yay  (￣▽￣)ノ

after lunch, i went back to my uncle's house and help my mum prepare for dinner...(actually i only helped out a little) (´ε｀) but at least i lend a hand....（￣ー￣）

my uncle force tell my little cousin brothers to set the table...which they did... (^^) it's just a few tables, not many...

well, it looks alright...two round tables at the front and back and two square tables in the middle...anyway, nice work...*good job good job*

right, lets move on to the food...my uncle bought most of the food, seafood and vegetables and my mum does all the cooking...*yum~~

here's one of the dishes...

Pun Choy...literally meaning basin-vegetable...again, google it if you don't know...cause even i can hardly explain what's this...  :P

another dish which i have no idea what its name is and it's cooked by my "chef" uncle... （　´∀｀）

again~~~~ prawns....what to do?? in Cantonese culture, prawns represents happiness...so gotta have prawns... (´∀｀*)

abalone pepper soup....i love this soup so much...it has been a long time since i last had this soup..miss it very much... (≧∇≦)

deep fried fish with soy sauce... crispy-crunchy on the outside but soft and smooth on the inside.. *yummy~~~~

put all those food together and you get these~~~ *points below*

wow.....that's a long line of food....dig in everybody...Let's eat...

and so, that is what i had for the first day of CNY...


now let's see what i do on the second day...(actually its all about food again) ^^;;


well, as for the second day of CNY, my uncle ordered catering food..i wonder what kind of food they gonna serve..


and so, i helped out my mum in the kitchen (i really did help this time!!) so no pictures taken as i'm very busy....


well, except for this:

yup....that's the abalone...i'm surprise that they're as big as this... (o.o) all the abalone i've seen before are smaller than the size of my palm..




also, everytime during CNY, this dish is a must!!!

yes, Yee Sang again....this time we made it ourselves... (^^)

looking good aren't they?? xD anyway, there's no fish in this Yee Sang, so i considered it as vegetarian Yee Sang.. (￣▽￣)ノ

yummy~~~ mum cooked chicken curry....*best curry EVER!!!!!!

mum and big sis cooked the cuttlefish...its crispy and a bit hard to chew... (><)

Long Ngan Shui...it's a fruit herbal drink with ginkgo, water-lily seed, white fungus, and jelly...mum made it too... :)

we prepare some fruits too...in the end not many people eat them...what a waste... :(

jelly with some herbs...taste a little bit too sweet... （￣ー￣）

after one or two hours, the food cater came...

wonder what the food cater prepare for us~~ o(^^o)(o^^)o

as the food came in,i have to get all the shots as quickly as possible...if not i couldn't get any cause many people will come and hog grab the food if i don't quickly take it...

wow...a long line of food... (o.o)

let me tell you,even by looking at these, i'm already full...its all either fried,stir-fried, or deep-fried.....everything fried... (>o<)

(￣▽￣;;  you have got to be kidding me, uncle....he actually ordered a cake...WITH HIS CAR NUMBER ON IT!!!  (#ﾟДﾟ)

to those who know how to read Chinese words, i recommend you to read these words...Lolxx

as we begin the feast,the're so many people that i have to wait until it's my turn to take the food...(=w=)

okay, i guess that's all about what i did during CNY...i'm back in Penang on the third day of CNY...this year's CNY is kind  of short... （;_;）

i hope next year my uncle will able to take more leave and my cousin sister too....
